We traveled south from Manila, to Puerto Galera, a resort destination which is known as a poor man's Boracay. Because we were traveling in the low season, it was lovely and quiet and we spent loads of time in the water or a hammock.

A huge highlight was snorkelling in a coral garden - the water was the bluest blue I'd ever seen. Amongst the most neon glowing rainbow coloured fish, we even saw a sea turtle, a sea turtle!
